The following are sample prayers for Councils / Assemblies.
Prayer to Open a Knights of Columbus
Executive or Council Meeting.*
In the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
May we remember the reason we are Knights of Columbus and may we remember what we can do as members of our Catholic faith.
May we remember those in our order: the brothers who are in need, the brothers who are fallen, the brothers who are trying to make ends meet, the brothers who are ill, the brothers who are in the need of help, our brothers who are trying to do our work.
May we remember that our leadership is important to all and our decisions should be always for the good of this our honoured order.
May we know the blessing of our Founder Blessed Father McGivney and may we understand the message of what it is to be true members of the Knights of Columbus.
Blessed Father McGivney watch over all that we do.
Mary Queen of the Knights .....pray for us.

Prayer Before a Meeting*
Father McGivney, may the example of your life serve to guide us in our mission and our individual roles as Knights of Columbus.
May we always be faithful Catholics and followers of your vision. In so doing, help us to deepen our role as leaders in our parish and in our community.
May we be always supportive of our clergy and responsible in building our Order. Help us to be ever effective in conceiving and carrying out our activities in the church and in the world.
Blessed Father McGivney, pray for us.

Prayer After a Meeting*
Father McGivney, as we leave this meeting, help us to focus on what we are to do as members of the Knights of Columbus to make our council supportive to all, our faith as Catholics stronger, and our parish better.
May we in your memory remember the values of charity, unity and fraternity, and by your example, help us to better appreciate what our fellow Knights mean to us as Catholic gentlemen.
May we leave our meeting and always appreciate that, as Knights, we are the essential elements of your vision of the order.
May your life’s commitments and work always be a guiding light in our lives.
